Step 1Inspection

The first step is to inspect the crack and determine its cause, size, and location. This is important to ensure that the repair method chosen is appropriate for the specific type of crack.

Step 2Drilling

Drilling of the holes at a 45 degrees angle towards the crack.

Step 3Cleaning

The next step is to clean the crack thoroughly. This typically involves flushing any loose dust and debris, inserting metallic injection ports into the holes. This ensures that the repair material can bond effectively to the existing concrete.

Step 4Injection

The repair material, usually an epoxy or polyurethane, is then injected into the crack using a specially designed injection gun. The material is forced into the crack under pressure, filling it completely. Watch for excess resin pouring out of the injection ports, which signifies the crack is filled internally.

Step 5Curing

After the crack is filled, the repair material needs to cure, or harden. This typically takes a few hours to a day, depending on the type of material and the ambient temperature.

Step 6Finishing

Once the repair material is fully cured, the surface of the repair is typically smoothened and finished to match the surrounding concrete.
